Sebastián is a first-generation immigrant from Colombia who's had the great pleasure of living, studying, and working in 3 countries that are all very culturally different (Colombia, US, and China), enhancing his cultural awareness, and most importantly, learning about and from a very diverse group of people and cultures.


He has a Master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology and is the Founder of Lifted By The People PBC, a public benefit corporation that is rooted on helping individuals, communities and organizations to boost mental wellbeing, find meaning, and maximize their full potential via the evidenced-based science of Positive Psychology. He is also the Founder of the Dish Network Employee Wellbeing Group and has over 7 years of experience in Learning and Development, which includes consulting on, designing, and running professional development programs and workshops at the corporate level and k-14 education.


He specializes in the following areas: Individual Mental & Organizational Wellbeing, Emotional Intelligence, Motivation & Evidence-Based Goal Setting, Finding Meaning, Self-Acceptance, Maximizing Strengths, Resilience, Positive Interpersonal Relationships, Mindfulness, Reducing Burnout, and Employee Engagement.


His programs and coaching are not just the culmination of his lived professional and personal experiences but rather are founded on the research that he completed during and after his Master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology and his Bachelor's degree in International Relations.
